Life, Love and Other Disasters is the modern equivalent of blackberry tea and Chocolate Mint ice cream for Mag. Filled with sad, funny and weird anecdotes about her life, it's the perfect outlet for someone whose life is simple enough to complicate everything. It's also about never settling down, always finding the quirkiness in the dullest of things, the beauty in the ugly and giving Mag the means to dream bigger than ever and transform life into a precarious and somewhat capricious art. It's also a terribly good excuse not to do anything remotely adult and mature.
Who's that girl?
M is a seriously tiny, 20 year-old dreamer who spends way too much on shoes. She likes big words like sesquipedalian and alliterations. While widely regarded as a soft-spoken and lovely little thing, her true nature shows up when she watches hockey.
But M has an alter-ego, despite being an alter-ego herself. Her name is Magalie and she's fiercely lunatic, albeit strangely smart. She loves to collect big books and hide them in big trunks in a dimly lit attic. She's a writer who dabbles in art, and whatever she lacks in self-confidence, she more than makes-up for in sweetness. A gentle soul who likes the rain, she can often be found drinking blackberry tea and has an odd affection for eccentric rabbits
So who's the real one and who's the illusion? Take your pick and gamble.
